Founder and Director

I am the founder of Tennessee Music Academy.  I was born and raised in rural Tennessee.  Like many teachers, I took piano lessons growing up and played trombone in a small band program throughout middle school and high school.  I never expected to be teaching music but I love teaching and now I hire and train other teachers.

My teaching is inspired by the many years of studying piano, the Alexander Technique, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, and piano pedagogy. I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Music degree to be a professional piano teacher, and now I get to teach piano for a living! I hope to keep Tennesseans playing music for a lifetime.
