“We really enjoy Mr. Jake working with our boys. He pushes each of them when they need it while being very encouraging. He explains new concepts in ways they can really apply to their playing.”
- Amy M., Franklin
“We have loved our experience with Tennessee Music Academy. Michael brings the perfect blend of structured teaching, deep musical knowledge, warm encouragement, and FUN to his lessons with my daughter. My daughter looks forward to her lessons and has grown to love piano more as she has advanced under his teaching.”

The trial lesson is an opportunity to meet the teacher and see if it’s the right fit. If your student has never had lessons, the teacher will likely teach the student a short piece and improvise on the piano. If the student is a transfer, the teacher will want to hear something prepared, if possible.
